A World War I song, "Keep Your Head Down, Fritzie Boy," written by Lieutenant Gitz Rice, is performed by the American Quartet. The quartet, formed in 1909 under the name Premier Quartet, originally consisted of: John Bieling, first tenor; Billy Murray, second tenor; Steve Porter, baritone; and William F. Hooley, bass.
