Radio and television address to the American people on the situation in the Middle East

President Eisenhower outlines the current situation in the Middle East and describes the policy of the United States, in light of recent events. At the time of this speech Israel, which had invaded the Sinai Peninsula, had not yet withdrawn to the armistice line established by the United Nations. Eisenhower calls on Israel to accept United Nations resolutions and tries to assure Israel of their security.
